CIA Drug Trafficking

This article is about what I read recently in a report about a C.I.A. aeroplane crashing in Mexico and the rescue team finding four tonnes of cocaine on board.

Just to give an overview of the situation I will give a bit of background on cocaine, including prices and quantities to give an idea of the severity of the abuse of trust and ultimately, crime.

A kilogram of pure, un-cut cocaine is believed to cost in the region of £50,000. That’s just over 35 ounces which gives each ounce a bulk price of just over £1,400, however studies show that an ounce of pure cocaine on its own (not as a bulk deal) retails at around £1,700.
It is estimated that the average purity of cocaine on the streets of the UK is near 10%, that’s a ratio of 9:1. Therefore one ounce that costs £1,700 will then become 10 ounces that work out at only £170 each. This diluted form of cocaine is then weight out into small portions for sale to ‘consumers’. Usually somewhere around the half gram mark and between £20 and £30 depending on location in the UK.

At this price, the four tonnes found on board the US Government aircraft has a value of between £160,000,000 (at £20 for half a gram) or £240,000,000 (at £30 for half a gram). This plane is owned, maintained and operated by the very people who make statements such as ‘we will stop the ‘cartels’ that are responsible for drug trafficking’ and ‘we are working towards minimizing drug abuse in the USA’. HA FUCKING HA!
Am I wrong in thinking this is not the first time this kind of thing has been uncovered? I’m pretty sure we’ve all seen at least one of the many films about this kind of activity throughout the Vietnam War. But then again… “you don’t know man, you weren’t there”.

Gulbuddin Hekmatyar, a leader of a group that fought alongside the Americans in Afghanistan stated;
“In most cases, the CIA's role involved various forms of complicity, tolerance or studied ignorance about the trade, not any direct culpability in the actual trafficking ... the CIA did not handle heroin, but it did provide its drug lord allies with transport, arms, and political protection. In sum, the CIA's role in the Southeast Asian heroin trade involved indirect complicity rather than direct culpability."

So not only is it very well documented that the CIA involved themselves with drug trafficking during the Vietnam War, and not only have they now been foiled trafficking extremely large quantities of cocaine as well as another 5.5 ton haul by Mexican police in 2006 and another 3.2 ton haul in Yucatan but it emerges that they are also at very least ‘accused’ of similar in Afghanistan?
Is this the reason the worldwide embarrassment of what is going on in Afghanistan is taking place to this day?
In this world of what seems to be ‘legal – illegal activity’ is it correct that so many soldiers risks their lives on a daily basis for shit money while being exploited by men in suits miles and miles away who are making literally hundreds of millions from one plane journey?

Please share this article if you see the sense in what I’ve said. You may also want to search ‘CIA drug trafficking’ in a search engine and find countless more cases of the same crime while there appears to be no justice? I certainly have not heard of any CIA agents or government officials being jailed for their crimes…
*All figures where gathered from various websites.
